Happy Birthday Nipit!

I’m one year old today! I get to be out of the cage all day.
Can I have some carrot cake?

It Lives!

An eleventh-hour grant will allow this website to continue unabated. I thank you, and the Planet thanks you. Potential readers, however, may not *stifles guffaws*
We’re moved into our new digs, across town from the old place, and are unpacking and settling in nicely. All of our fellow travelers are alive and well. Special thanks to [...]

Jobhunting

Jobhunting, frankly, sucks. Most everyone knows that. Unless you’re part of an in-demand industry like healthcare, you’re gonna be a while looking.
Right now, I don’t have a car, so I’m limited to establishments along the bus route. Fortunately, the public transportation in this part of the country isn’t too bad. The job market, though, is [...]

CYA in the Fall

Well…we made it. The trip officially started October 27 at @4:30 pm EST and ended 10/30 @5:00 pm MST. It covered all or parts of the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona, and took a little over 48 hours actual driving time.
I had to drive a little [...]

It Ain’t Montana…

…but then Orthodontia isn’t my field. We’re getting ready to once again sally forth and roll across this country of ours, a journey that I’ve enjoyed immensely in the past.
This will be the first time we’ve employed outside movers, and easily the largest-scale move of the three we’ve accomplished. We humans, the pets, and various [...]

…and they’re OFF!

Having just paid the deposit on the movers and rental car, I can safely say that our move is official. On my 48th birthday, October 29, we’ll take possession of the premises in Arizona and start moving in our kit and kaboodle.
Her youngest is coming along to help with the move and to vacation for [...]

For the Birds

Here are some recent shots of all five of our feathered friends:

The first pic is of the whole group, the second is of the two solid-color female parakeets Emily (in yellow) and Lady Bird (in white). The third picture is of Myrtle, the third female (in green and yellow), Huey (white and blue with black [...]

Little Bitty Baby Bunny Bettie

Well…after a long posting hiatus, here’s a small update:
Two weeks ago, we stopped into a local pet store to get some seed sticks for our birds (at that time there were four). While she was deciding which ones to get, I started wandering around.
Not too long ago, we were contemplating adding a third bunny to [...]

The Life Channel

Updates and miscellaneous department:
It doesn’t look like there’ll be any legal work involved in the ceiling case. Not enough money to bother with. I’ll post the whole story eventually. Everyone survived, and that’s the important part.
Am now in the process of renovating my studio. I have to keep stopping because life happens.
It’s a HUGE task-there’s [...]
